Top 4 Strategies to Create Your Abundantly Successful Business

Every owner wants to see their business succeed and they will do whatever in their means possible to make it happen. What some business owners fail to realize is you have to take necessary steps in order to achieve abundance and success. It’s not going to just show up out of the blue one day. Most importantly, you want to express gratefulness during the journey of achieving your success.

Here are the top 4 steps I took to achieve success in my business and have taught others for them to achieve their life goals as well!

#1. Take Time to Dream

It’s heartbreaking to hear from someone that they don’t have a dream. If you don’t have a dream, why are you working? What are you working towards? As a business owner, you’re working towards something and that is a dream. Daydreaming is OK! Here are three questions you should ask yourself:
a. What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?
b. What would your ideal life look like?
c. What’s stopping you?

#2. Create a Vision Board or Vision Book

Take your dream and put it into pictures by creating a vision board or book. This a simple and cheap activity to do that can benefit you greatly in being successful. The idea is to cut out pictures that represent your dream and speak to you when you see them and paste the pictures onto a board. These pictures can be found from things lying around your house including magazines, flyers, and mail inserts. You can also find some pictures online and print them. When you have completed your vision board or book, put it where you can see it daily and spend time with it. By doing this, it will help to manifest what you want in your life and more importantly, for your business.

#3. Make a Plan to Make These Dreams & Visions a Reality

First, think about a person that has the things you want or is in a position you want to achieve. How do they act? What do they do daily? What are their work and life habits? What time would they get up? What does their routine look like? How many phone calls would they be making? What are they reading? Questions like this about that person will help to answer what you should be doing too! Do the things they do that you are observing about them. Work towards getting what they have that you don’t have and look for support in how to do so from coaches, books, courses, and anything else you may need. Reverse engineer your steps to get to your goal. Take the first step and do something every day that works towards your dreams and goals. Most importantly, stick with it!

Proverbs 16:3 – “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”

#4. Be Grateful for the Journey!

When you know where you are going and the plan to get there, you will enjoy it. Always be grateful for where you were, where you are at now, and where you will be in the future.

These 4 steps may seem very simple but when used together, they are proven to work! I use them time after time to achieve things I want in my life. Have I hit every goal I made? Absolutely NOT! I have, however, achieved many of the goals I set out to do and you can as well. When you take these steps and start doing them, others around you will start to do them too. There is always joy in chasing down your dreams.

If you're ready to tap into both courage and live the life you're called to create, join me on this journey. Let's untie those dock lines and set sail. We're going into uncharted territory. Hi, and welcome back to the Uncharted entrepreneurs podcast. I'm your host, Sheri Miter.

We are going to wrap up our gratefulness series today. And this is our third and final episode. So we talked about, and the first episode of The gratefulness series about being grateful for the past lessons and life that made us who we are today. And then in the second episode of the series, we talked about being present and grateful for today, which truly is all we have, right. That's all we have is today and being present. And today. And then today. Kind of sounds funny, but today, we are going to wrap it up with being grateful for what is coming. And as a futuristic, visionary thinker. This truly is one of my favorite topics to talk about. But before we dive into that topic of being grateful for what is coming, and even creating what we want, for future, I do want to give a word of caution. Because it's easy to live for tomorrow. It's easy to live in the future, you know, have we all said, you know, I'll start that diet tomorrow, or I'm going to start exercising on Monday. Or, you know, I'll stick to my budget tomorrow. But today I'm going to, you know, shop on amazon prime, or in business, maybe it's you know what, I'll make that important call tomorrow, or I didn't get to all my to do list today, but that's okay. Because tomorrow, I promise I'm going to cross everything off the list.

Anybody else? Like? I'm sure I'm not the only one who is guilty of saying all of those things, or at least having those thoughts if you didn't say it out loud, right. So we want to make sure that that's not the future we're living in. That's totally not what we're going to be talking about today. It's not about living in the future of the action steps. But it's knowing where we're going in the future. Let me say that a different way. It's not the action steps that we want to be future foward focused on, say that three times fast, but it's the direction we're headed, that we want to focus on. And then today, do the action steps. Okay, I probably just totally confused you. And hopefully, by the end, this will all make more sense.

So it's important to take the time to create the vision board, to set the goals, dream about your future, make the plan so you know where you're going. And you have something to look forward to. But all of that is useless. If we forget to work the plan today, being present and staying in the moment you were in. That's what you have to work on today. It's all we have. But if we don't have that vision, that dream, that goal, then life is just boring. It's just not fun. And it's just like, what's the point, right? So it's finding that true balance of having that vision, that goal, the dream, but then bringing it back down to working today to achieve it.

Okay, so now that we've had our little disclosure statement, said about the importance of doing the work behind the vision, let's dive into creating the abundant life that is yours to claim. And do you know that abundance is a biblical principle? You know, all you need to do is just open up Proverbs, and you will see so much about living in abundance. Or if you want just Google abundance in the Bible and see how many Bible verses pop up. I don't want to preach to you too much today. But this is so important that I want you to hear this, that God wants you to have abundance. He designed us to be successful. And one of the Bible verses I do want to say here's Deuteronomy 30:9 "The Lord your God will make you abundantly prosperous in all the work of your hand, and the fruit of your womb, and then the fruit of your candle, and then the fruit of your ground, for the Lord will again take delight and prospering you as he took delight in your father's." Oh, doesn't that give you hope and joy and like, okay, God wants me to be prosperous. And I could probably just turn this whole podcast into preaching. But you know, I'm not even listed as a Christian podcast, maybe I should be. So I'm not gonna go there.

I just want you to be aware of that God does want abundance in your life, because for some of you, there's a mental block there, and you feel guilty about wanting success, or you've been told that it's not good. It's not healthy. It's not what ever that's a man made thought that somebody somewhere put into your brain. And I want you to just cancel that thought, and know that it's not true, that you are meant to have more, you're meant to have abundance and lots of it. So now that we have that clear, and if you need more help, like really working through that, let's like, shoot me a DM and let's chat about that. That thought if you're like really stuck that well, I don't know if I should have abundance over if it's, you know what I'm meant to do? Yes, yes, it is. I don't care who you are, you're meant to be prosperous and have abundance. Okay, I have preach in here, right?

All right. So now that we know we are supposed to work and strive for abundance, you might be asking, but how Sheri, how do I get there? How do I create all that, and I'm going to share with you three truly simple steps that have worked for me personally. And I've used these steps to achieve a lot of success in my business world. And also in my life. And in the business world. These three steps have helped me achieve things I never imagined 30 years ago, I could have achieved things like, you know, free cars, diamonds trips, you know, if you're familiar with my background, a Pink Cadillac, all that stuff, and moving, you know, to the top percent of my company, in the direct sales and MLM world also helped me achieve personal success, and create things that are life that I never imagined we could have. And I'll share some of those stories with you as we dive into these three simple steps. So I want you to grab your journal, because we're going to dive into some deep questions today. And I really, really, really would love it if you wrote down these questions, and then carve out some time to just pause and be quiet and really think about the questions I'm going to give you today. And I promise you, if you work them, they will work.

All right, you ready to get started? Okay, I hope you are. So number one, the first step to creating the abundant life you're meant to have is take the time to dream. daydreaming is totally okay. And I hope you do it. You know, again, those are things that maybe we were told in the past. Stop your daydreaming? No, I want to give you permission today to daydream carve out time to daydream. And nothing breaks my heart more than when I meet someone without a dream. We were at dinner recently with some friends and their mother was with us. And she's like, Well, why bother dreaming? It just doesn't have the things never come true. And that truly broke my heart. I cannot imagine living in a life having a life and living in a world where we don't dream. You know, Martin Luther King Jr. said I have a dream I want you to have a dream to because otherwise, we'll wake up every day think of why bother? What's the point of going to work if you don't have a dream that that works going to fulfill. So number one, take time to dream. Now within that, I'm going to give you four points here. We're going to call these we're going to give letters to this so it doesn't get too confusing. So a daydreaming is okay, write that down Daydream It is okay. B, I want you to write this down in your journal and ask yourself, What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail? And when you hear that question, write down the very first thing that pops in your head. And I did a little message in my private Facebook group A couple of days ago about this. And I hope you if you're not a member yet join our Uncharted Entrepreneurs Facebook Community. It is a growing community of amazing mostly women in there but guys are welcome of just entrepreneurs who want to be their best personally and professionally and support other women. So I did a video about that, that question of what would you do if you knew you couldn't fail. And, you know, the first thing that usually pops in people's head is what they really want. But then the self doubt starts coming in. And you know, those little, the little, I always say the little person on your shoulder starts popping in there. But you won't do that, because, or you've tried that and you failed. And all those self doubt, I want you to cancel out all those self doubt questions and just go with the first thing that popped in your head. And again, maybe really spend some time thinking about that, what would you do if you knew you couldn't fail? And usually, the only reason we don't go after something is our fear of failure. And that's a whole other topic for a whole other day. But just start really diving into that question.

What would your ideal life look like? So this is something I teach my students in our shift disor course, how to create, like, really write it out in detail of your ideal life. So take some time to really think about that. If you could design your life, what would it look like? Where would you live? What hours would you work? Where would you vacation? Who would you hang out with? What would you do for your hobbies? What would you be doing? Put your source of income, all of it, write it all out? Then d? I want you to think about what's stopping you? What's stopping you from doing those first two questions, you just asked yourself, what would you do if you knew you couldn't fail? And what would your ideal life look like? what's holding you back from achieving those things? Write it out. Okay, so we know we need to take time to dream and think about all those things.

Number two, to create this abundant life is create a vision board or a vision book. And now we're going to take that dream that you wrote down and you're going to put it into pictures, you're going to create a picture book, it can be a little photo album, I've had one that I created a photo album once and I just put the pictures right in there. Or it can be a board that you put you cut out the pictures, you copy and paste, some people do it on their computer screen. That's okay. But I really prefer a one, we actually cut and paste and it's hanging on your wall someplace. And there's a whole bunch that goes along with creating a vision board. But for now just copy and paste things that flip through magazines Pinterest, print it out, put it on the board, things you want in your life, things that correlate with the dreaming you did earlier, and then put it someplace where you will see it daily are visited daily, spend time with it, focus in on those things on that vision board and think about what it's going to feel like when you achieve those things. And if you want more detail on all of that and how to really create a vision board. If that whole thought is new to you, I want you to make sure you click in the show notes, I'm going to have a sign up list for a waitlist. It's not live yet. But I have creating a course where we dive into vision board creating and then we goal set for 2021 goal crushing course for 2021. Because I don't know about you, but I'm not crushing a whole lot of goals in 2020. And I am ready to crush goals in 2021. So this course is going to launch in December I'm working on it now it's going to be phenomenal. And we dive really deep into vision board creating. So if you want that, make sure you click the link in the show notes get on the waitlist, and those that are on the waitlist are going to be the first to know when this course goes live. I promise it'll be very cost effective. And the first ones to sign up will get extra bonuses. So you want to get on the waitlist. Okay, so in that course, we're gonna again go through the exact details on how to create that vision board and how to use it. Because there's more than just creating it to how to really use it to manifest what you want. And I know, you know, every time I say the word manifest, it sounds so Woohoo. But it works. It really works.

I want to share with you a story of one of the vision boards I created because I've done it several times in my life, but one of them in particular always stands out to me. And some of you may have heard this story before. And this was, I don't know, eight, nine, no, like 10 years ago or so. One of the vision boards, I had had a picture of a beautiful sailboat right smack dab in the middle. And then I had some other things other things I was working on around it. And that vision board sat in my kitchen window for a year or so. And I remember it was one of my friends that came over who saw the vision board who was the one that figured out she's like, isn't that the boat you have now like she looked at that picture and she was a watt and I'm like My gosh, you're right. Like it had not occurred to me that the sailboat we now own was that exact model the exact size of the one I had on my vision board. Now, I promise you, when I cut that sailboat out, I didn't even think about the model of it, it's a 31 ft Hunter if you're a sail boater, and I didn't even think about that when I created that vision board. But that's how powerful vision boards can be. It's sometimes you forget what you even put on it. But your subconscious mind goes to work to help make those things come to fruition and they make those things happen in your life. How cool is that? So vision boards do work.

Okay. The third and final step to creating this abundant life that you're going to be so grateful for is, and this is probably the most important piece, because if you only do step one and step two, but you skip step three, it's not going to happen. Because Step three, is make a plan to make those dreams and visions a reality. So make a plan and action plan. And again, for those of you who purchase the course, there will be an entire section here, or entire section where we really dive into creating the plan to make sure that you hit the goals that are part of your dreams and your vision board. Today, I'm going to give you the abridged version of that training. So let's go into this. Okay, a, so a is going to be I want you to think about somebody you know, and it doesn't necessarily have to be somebody you know, personally, it could be a mentor. It could be somebody you follow on Facebook, it could be an influencer, it could be whoever, but think of somebody who has the things you want or has achieved what you're working towards. And think about them. And how do you think they act? Like? What do you think their daily habits are? What time do you think they get up in the morning? Do they exercise? What do you think their morning routine looks like? What do you think they're eating? How is their work habits?

Like what do you think they do for their daily work habits? And if you have absolutely no idea, reach out to them and ask them say, Hey, I'm setting some new goals for 2021. And I would love to achieve X, Y and Z. And I know you've already done that. Can you just tell me like what is your day look like? What does your week look like? What is your month look like?

I promise you most successful people would be thrilled that you reached an honor that you reached out to them. So if you're not sure ask, but think about what does that look like in their daily life, and their work life, their habits, their action steps, their plan, all of that. And then here's the thing be is start doing those things. It sounds so simple. And it is, you know, if you want to be skinny, eat like a skinny friend. If you want to have more money, find a rich mentor, and do what they've been doing. If you want more success in business, hire a business coach who's been successful. If you want a happy marriage, talk to the couple who's been happily married for 25 years or more. And ask them what they've done to be happily married for 25 years. It's really that simple. Find somebody who's done what you've done, find out what they do, and then start doing it.

That's it. It really is that simple. You guys. All right. See, which is a lot that ties into that is if that person has something that you can get fixed that you don't have get it fixed. Maybe it's something you need to learn. Maybe it's a skill you need to hone, maybe it's just a mental block that you have get it fixed. And if you need to look for support in that. That's why there's business coaches, there's books, there's courses, all that stuff. So get it fixed, if you can, no, obviously, like you got to be realistic here. So like, I'm five foot two and a half. And yes, I take my half inch, I can't put on there be a basketball player like that is never going to happen. Because I can't get my height fixed. You know what I mean? So some things we can't get fixed. But there's a lot of stuff we can get fixed. Or we can learn or we can grow in. Then D is reverse engineer your steps to set to get to your goal. Let me repeat that, again, reverse engineer your steps to get to your goal. So you have your goal. You know what you want. You kind of have a plan here what it looks like. Now you're going to back it up. You're going to say Start reverse engineering. So if you want to, let's say you want to save $10,000 next year, so break it down. What does that look like? monthly? What does that look like weekly? What does that look like daily? What's the activity, maybe you have to do each day to make more money so that you can save that money. So you break it down, I call that reverse engineering. In my shift disorder course, we actually call this creating our goal digging map. And we create multiple ways to achieve those goals by reverse engineering, all the steps that it takes to get there.

And then, oh, this is the most important one here. I think I've said that a few times on this podcast, Just take the first step. That's all you need to do today, take the first step of all those things we've been talking about with your plans, take the first step, and keep doing that. So if you do something every day towards your dream and your goals, you will achieve them. It may take longer than you want. But it's going to happen. But that first step is the most important. And I know a lot of people and I have been so guilty of this in the past myself, we're getting ready to get set, but we never go. We stay on this starting block. Ever Ready, set, ready, set. And we never hear the gun go off for the go. And I'm giving you permission right now. I wish I had a sound effect, I would shoot the gun right now. For the go. You have to take the first step. It's the hardest, I promise you. It's the hardest step. And I want to share another story with you that happened to me recently. So obviously, as you know, this podcast is fairly new. For me, the entrepreneurial coaching is fairly new for me, business has not been in business a long time. But this particular business is, and especially the podcast, and I had an opportunity to sign up for another course. And I don't even know how much money I've spent on courses this year, because I want to do the best I can with this new business. And I was debating whether or not to enlist and enroll in another course. And it was expensive course. So I was doing some soul searching some praying about it. And just wasn't sure. And finally, it felt right. I knew it was what I needed to do. I was very clear on that. And I enrolled in it made the first deposit. And within 24 hours, I had a new client who enrolled with me and my services. And it was almost exactly I think it was $3 less than what I had just paid to enroll in this course, what the new client gave me was $3 less than that payment.

How cool is that? But I really feel like it was almost this test, maybe from God, whatever. See if I was ready to take that next step. So it wasn't the first step for me, but it was the next step. So what's your next step, or your first step that you need to take, take it. And it's the hardest one, I promise you, once you start taking that first step, your next step, it's amazing what will start to unfold in front of you. But you've got to step out, step out of your comfort zone. So you can start having all the abundance that is waiting for you. Okay, f stick with it. I already just said that. Sometimes it's going well, that sometimes, almost every time, what you want to achieve will take longer than you think longer than you want it to. At a minimum, it takes 90 days to even start seeing the fruition of your labor. And if you've done any training with me, you've heard me say this before, you know, it's like planting seeds in a garden, you plant the seeds in the spring. And sometimes it's you know, late summer, the fall before we even start to see the fruition the flowers, the vegetables, whatever you planted start to grow. And we still have to nurture that dream we have to nurture that seed. We have to nurture the seedling keep doing what you've been doing, to watch it grow, but stay the course. Now GE is gonna sound like I'm saying the totally opposite thing. But it's not really the opposite. And GE and making a plan to achieve your dreams and make your dreams and visions a reality is be willing to pivot when necessary. But I want you to be careful with why you think you need to pivot. Sometimes we think we need to pivot just because nothing's happening yet and we're just resting strated that's not a reason to pivot, you've got to stay doing what you know you need to be doing. You got to stick with that long enough. But then sometimes God steps in and starts calling us to change directions. And it's super hard to discern the difference so hard. And it did another podcast. I don't remember what Episode A while back, it was like, Don't you wish there was a neon sign? I don't remember what it was called. But that was basically that they have always wished Don't you wish like you'd wake up and you'd see this neon sign from God saying, Oh, go this way or do this and you'll get the abundance and never happened to me? I don't know. Let me know. I want to hear the story if it's happened to you. But if we get quiet enough, there usually are small signs from God nudging us to change nudging us to try something nudging us to make that call nudging us to say yes to the next course, nudging us to, you know, listen to something nudging us to just take the next step. So be careful. And really make sure you can discern, is it you saying you need to pivot? Or is it a message coming from God that you need to pivot, but we willing to pivot if it is coming from the right source? And ah, I've got to go back to preach in here. Proverbs 16:3 "commit to the Lord, whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." Amen, sister, amen.

The last thing I'm going to leave you with, I'm going to add on a #4 here. So we talked about taking time to dream, create your vision board or vision book, make a plan to make those dreams and visions a reality. And number four that I'm going to add on for you is be grateful in the journey, you know, so many times that we get so frustrated and we get impatient that we forget to be grateful in the journey. So as long as you know you are going in the right direction, and you have a plan to get there. Enjoy it. Okay, enjoy the journey that gets you there. That's part of the entire process. So be grateful in the journey. All right. So I know those steps may seem super simple. But I promise you again, when you use them, and they work, they work together, they do work. I have used them time and time and time again. And I've helped others use them as well. And do we hit every goal we set? Absolutely not. No way. But many of them will come to fruition and a lot more of them than if you do nothing at all. And one more thing I want to add in here. This is pretty cool that when you start implementing these things, you start giving others around you permission to do the same. And if not, especially if you have children, whether they're little children grown children, they're going to see these things or maybe your spouse or co workers and my youngest son was three years old when I joined my direct sales MLM company. So he watched me do these things time and time again. And by the time he was 10 years old, he was already setting goals. And he was putting his vision and his dreams all around our house. And a lot of those things didn't come to fruition for him. But you know what, he had an awesome ride working towards achieving those dreams. Many of you know, our son Jacob was a US a skeleton athlete. And when he was Ted, I came I think it was 10. Around 10 years old. I came home one day. And there were little bitty Olympic ring symbols all over our house. I swear to you he trashed our house. In a good way. It was a good trashy, they were on the banister, going up the stairs. They were in every bathroom mirror, on the refrigerator all over his room, like everywhere, these little like subliminal little stickers, like I don't even know they were like, not even edge big. They were tiny. But they were just all over. And that gave me so much joy to see that like, Oh my gosh, he's learned how to create a dream and a vision. And did he make it to the Olympics? No, that dream came and went. But you know what, he pursued that goal for many, many years. And because he pursued that goal, he was able to experience so much of life and learn so many things and make friendships that are priceless. He truly had. No, sometimes he's thinking oh, there wasn't joy because there was a lot of pain. There was a lot of work. There was a lot of injuries in the process. But I know there was joy in the journey and a lifetime of lessons and memories that he created because he was pursuing that dream.

So that's one of the things when you learn to do these steps and create the vision and the dreams. You're gonna give others around you to start doing it too and it'll have that ripple effect. So that's one of the really joys of doing this. So I want to know from you guys how does it work and don't forget to make sure you hop on the waitlist for the vision casting there the vision create a vision board created a goal chasing course get the waitlist the links in the show notes and let me know what's on your dream board. - shoot me a picture!
